wrong warp mode in added clip

In Live preferences my default Warp mode is Complex.
Live 8.4 b7, Win7 64bit.
I add an audio clip to audio track using drag&drop.
Select the clip.
It shows warp mode Beats.
32bit 8.3.4 seems to do the same thing: ignores default warp mode setting.

Hi Tone61.
I looked at this on both OSX and Win. Both 8.4b7 32 and 64 bit are adding wavefiles to the set with correct warp settings.
I added the file both from the Live browser and by dragging from OS browser, both works.
What file are you dragging in, AIff?, Wave?
Did you try trashing preferences and re-importing?. Before you delete the preferences - please make a zip of these and send it to
[email protected] if you see the problem resolved. Then we will ave a look at it.
Best,
Mads

I tried this again.
If I use a .wav file, warp mode is ok.
If I use some .alc files, then warp mode is not according to prefs.
These .alc files I tested with are from Ableton's Riemann Tech-House kollektion.
Do .alc files have warp mode stored inside the file?

Yes, the whole clip properties are stored in the "ableton live clips" (.alc) - this include also the follow actions behaviour.
