Can Live Do This?

I'm looking for a good software/pad controller combo to do remixes primarily. What I'd like to know is if Live has a setting where it will INSTANTLY trigger the clip you've just pressed, or does it always have to do that like four beat cycle count in (with the little clock icon) before you actually hear anything?
Whenever I've triggered clips in Live, I've hit the cell, but I have to wait four beats before it starts playing. How would you ever retrigger a clip quickly for stutter effects and such. Does Live even have a mode for instant clip playing and retriggering. Let's say I have a recording of the word STOP mapped to a pad. On Maschine or Traktor, I could hit a pad repeatedly in rapid succession and get a st-st-st-st-stop-st-st-stop. I've never been able to get similar behavior out of live because there's always a delay between launching the clip and hearing the clip.
Is there any sort of "instant" mode with retriggering capability etc.
Thanks!

Set the quantization to none (or whatever speed you want) - either global or inside each clip. You can also choose different ways to launch clips.
Manual - chapter 12 - Launching Clips

ok you don't wanna know "how", but "is it possible"..
so:
YES IT CAN
(happily... a rigid launching options like only 4beats cycle would be dumb and live would still be on its 2.1 version!!)
cheers

upper control bar middle area, left of the pencil button...set it to 'NONE'
also...in prefs/rec-warp-launch tab, familiarize yourself with the launch area, the launch modes, etc

hopefully this is sarcasm, why not just tell people how to do what they asked instead of gradually getting to the point one post at a time.
fuck read the fucking manual, that's so rude to a new person.
btw, the manual is written really well though, its pretty much the best manual ever written in the the world.

The very first response on this thread explains exactly what you need to do as well as pointing to the relevant chapter in the manual. Or am I the only one that can read that?
And everyone has been very polite.

Plenty of people post questions which are the equivalent of "tell me that THIS GUITAR can play in tune. Its out of tune. Its lame", then freak out when people respond to their tantrum with exasperation. Teachers get paid to be patient.
