Drumrack Import volume settings

Hey there.

I've done a search but can't quite find what I'm looking to find out.

When I drag samples in to drumrack, it automatically sets the volume of the clips at -12dB.

Is there a way to set this to a different import volume? -3dB for example?

i believe there is a simpler way to do it, although it hasn't been talked about for a bit so i forget. what i did for the same problem is: i set up a drum rack with empty simplers(or samplers) on each pad, then i set up the first simpler how i want it (basically just adjusted the volume/velocity) then for example in my volume setting i click control+option to bring down the menu...then i click "copy value to siblings" which will copy that value to the other simplers on the pads. then i saved that drum rack to my library. now whenever i want to import a sample, or make a new kit, i use that rack....but here is the kicker: i drag the sample to the actual simpler/sampler...not the pad. for some reason it makes a difference as to if my settings will go back to -12 db or stay where i want them.
there will be other fixes for this posted, im sure, dudes saying this is the hard way. it works for me. only takes a few minutes to set up that first drum rack.

Thanks for the reply.

I found out how this was possible.

Open a new channel with a Simpler on it - set it to what I'd like (e.g. volume at -3dB)

Open the library on the left and drag the simpler in to the Defaults for Drumrack Imports folder.

I forget the names of the folders because I'm on my work machine, but can clarify if anyone's stuck.

...or simply open a simpler/sampler, adjust the levels to what you like and save that as a default !

Reading the manual is a good point to start too...
