Anyone know how to set the Windows XP colors to match the default Live color scheme? Ex. here is a screenshot from one of the tutorials on the ableton site the title bar and close icon colors match ableton's:

Sorry, but I think it´s done on a mac, or do you made the screenshot on your machine?

You can change your windows design when clicking right on a free place at the desktop and choose properties from the menu that appears.

farting around with windows schemes only reduces performance...

thought you might like to know... for audio you should set it to best perfomance under performance options in system.. this will make all the silly fading in/out minimise animations and shaded title bars go away for some extra cpu cycles....

Also, under the display preferences, select the "windows classic" theme. Accordingly, you can disable the windows theme service under the control panel->administrative tools->services. God only knows why an OS should need a "theme service".

..well, I guess god and bill gates would both probably know.


You can still tweak the colors from within the classic theme to make it match live. It will make no noticeable difference on performance; windows is drawing colors anyways, you just get to tell it which ones.

To turn off scroll,fade effects directly...

Desktop Properties -> Appearance -> Effects.
