and if i remember correctly Impulse tracker was all of a couple of megabytes. It fit on a single floppy.
Check out schism tracker. its a sweet port of the mighty impulse from msdos days

There was always something very magical about certain aspects of IT. For example the retrigger function ( Q in the left comumn and your choice of 0 to 9 in the next two columns ) Have never heard something like it since !

ah the good old days. Looking at that picture it still makes just as much sense to me as it did back then: very little. I still managed to make a couple of tunes with it in some way. Then ReBirth came out.

thats what i started with on the ST, ive never been able to knock up tunes like i did with that and hardware.
