I guess I am confused, but I already bought Live 8 suite about 7 months ago, it was expensive with all the instruments and effects.. now they are saying , to upgrade to 9 suite with Push, this would cost about 800$? Seems like rip off considering I already have 8 suite. 9 suite has the same instruments and effects.

Kinda sucks if you have these instruments and effects already...

doesn't seem like a great deal to me.. Sounds like price gouging.

There is supposed to be a discount from upgrading from suite 8 to suite 9 that will be announced closer to time of release.

However, I'm guessing a lot of that $800 your talking about is the cost of Push (which I think is around £400 on its own).

Live upgrades recently have been pretty steep compared with the competition, so you just need to live with that if you want to upgrade Live in future.

I was wrong, its 850$ for the upgrade to 9 suite with Push. I understand running a business. however, any way you look at it, that's very spendy.. that means if I want this upgrade and Push I will have spent around 1400$ within a year on just Ableton software and one controller , alone. But I digress, coz I so want Push.

I guess it looks like I will be selling Maschine.

Shouldnt push be free? Fer realz.

Wait till Live 9 is actually released, there'll be a discount for you, will be much less. Relax, we're all in the same boat.

Unless you have access to information that I don't, we do not know that it will be 'much' less - only that there will be a discount for Suite owners. As yet, nothing has been confirmed as to how much this discount will be.

I also recall a post that said if you upgrade to the non-suite version of 9, whilst you wouldn't get the expanded sample library, all of your effects / instruments would still work. So the cheapest upgrade path for Suite 8 owners would be to the basic non-Suite version of Live 9.

Man I don't know with dollars but push price is set to 499 eurocents
If I purchase live9 + push, I would have to pay 648 eurocents

So 648 minus 499 equals 149 eurocents

149 being the price of the ableton live 8 suite to ableton live 9 suite.

add this: 648 eurocents = 825 US dollars

you will pay less than europeans for your upgrade with PUSH

Push is $600. Take that out, and you're paying for sample libraries and M4L. And any other Suite-specific upgrades they might slip in down the line.

And if we get lucky, they might make it even cheaper

Anus- not sure where you got those numbers,, but I am quite awake.. where are you getting minus 149 eurocents???Besides I use $$. Also I see no where the price would be 825$ or 648 euro - my account info says 850$ for Upgrade and Push. I do not see where there is a 25$ discount just cuz. Your numbers aren't clarifying the point as what I am seeing has nothing to do with 825$.

by seeing the price you WOULD have to pay, it only means your price is right

I had just compared price in euro countries with price in US with dollars
If you count any tax charge depending on the country, there's nothing to worry.

by making some addition and subtraction.
do it yourself, simply take the price of the full upgrade with PUSH controler and subtract the price for push to it

For me in euros it comes as I said above

648-499 = 149 €

149 being the price for ableton live 9 suite edition upgrade
if I purchase live 9 suite only I would have to pay 199€

199-149 = 50€ discount If I choose to purchase push with the live 8 suite > live 9 suite upgrade

do you understand now?
