Automate multiple VST knobs with a single clip envelope?

Hello,

Is it possible to control multiple VSTi parameters using a single clip envelope? For instance, I would like to create the same automation for cutoff and pitch on a VSTi that supports CC. Can it be done with one envelope? My main goal is to use a clip envelope but if it's not doable then track automation might work as well.

TIA,

Mark

Depending on the VST, you can map both parameters to a macro knob and then automate that. Or MIDI map a knob on a controller to both parameters, and record your automation in that way.

You can also copy-paste envelope automation if it's not for live playing purposes.

I'm not sure how to link a clip envelope to a macro knob but just in case you're not aware - you'll need to press 'configure' on live's vst instance and then click on the vst knobs etc you'd want to control, this way you'll have those knobs viewable in Live itself. Took me a while to realize this myself so figured I'd mention it.

Right. After you configure your controls, you group the instrument and assign your selected controls to a macro knob in the instrument rack. This is what you'd be modulating.
