Hmm, all I see are pictures of people either screaming, fighting or dying. Some explosions/ship movements in between.
Turning Star Trek into an action massacre is not really epic, it's just following the expectations. From my point of view it seems that the Star Trek franchise is about to turn over into another McStarWhopper for the masses, losing its original quality.

as a long time star trek fan, i think the new version is awesome

nothing will ever beat the original, or generation....but people still love those characters, its nice to have some new adventures!! yeah! liking the new version, doesn't betray the old version.

i think they should never have gotten rid of the women in green body paint, cardboard sets and tribbles made from toupees!...jk

i do get a bit of your point One, but its a trailer meant to stir the action-loving masses to come see, thats all

aside from the superb fx and action, the last film had a lot of humor! i remember quite a few lols, and a quality script and acting that carried the torch admirably...considerably 'better', or different i should say, than the old days, but still true to form

The last one was non-sensical. Character motivations and plot points were almost as retarded as those seen in Prometheus.

Warp speed travel is something Einstein talked about.... Bending time and space. Simple.

Teleporting? The physics are actually quite sound on that subject as well. The reason we can't do it yet is the same reason that there isn't a warp drive: Both require ENORMOUS amounts of energy via anti-matter: which is a pain in the ass to get.
