So my waves plug ins work fine in ableton, but for some reason when i reopen a session, even though all my waves plug ins (cla compressors and api eq) are turned on, i have to turn them off then on again for them to work. Any ideas why this is happening? Thanks!

I've found that this happens with Waves plug-ins and Live when using Audio Units. Very frustrating, as I had to return to a lot of older projects and replace all those instances with VSTs.

Not even sure that this could be the cause of your issue but thought I'd mention it.

Yes! Install both versions!

well that sounds too easy how do i do that if i already installed them as AU?

nevermind, just figured it out!

Ok now I'm having some major problems with the vsts. They don't open properly, like if i open a cla compressor it might have blocks of an api in the picture of the plugin if that makes sense, and when I try to delete them from the chain ableton crashes.

Any ideas?

it was fine au and vst on 9.1, then 9.2 fucked it up again (before 9 i had this bug too)
