Just wondered if anyone here could shed some light onto something I am pondering. I know everyone is excited for Push...but I've been offered a good deal on a near new APC....but I'm not really so fussed about using it in live.
Instead, it would seem almost near perfect to fit for a controller for 2 remix decks in Traktor.
What I'm after is information about how 'mappable' the APC 40 would be. Is it possible to remap things such as the browse buttons to be used to scroll through the pages 5 of a remix deck....can I setup the use of the shift or other buttons to allow the rotaries to be used to control send levels to the effects units in Traktor. Can I tell the remix decks where to record from (ie deck a, deck b, loop recorder or external etc).
Would it be better to get another F1, or play with just a modified APC40 ?
NI Traktor S2 and APC 40 for remix decks
Re: NI Traktor S2 and APC 40 for remix decks
I think it's still the case that the full functionality of the Traktor remix decks is only accessible from the F1 controller.
So if your aim is to use the APC40 primarily for the remix decks, IMO it's not a good choice.
