As a musician, I start in session view with my ideas, then paste those scenes into arrangement. The only recording i do in arrangement are vocals (if any), automation, and sound fx that are not confined to a pattern.

Depends of the song... Generally with my band we first compose a song with gutar pro, then we try to play it, then we start meddling with live, but only in arrange view, session view isn't really adapted to our music...
But tonight I just had to make a two-minutes "song" which was meant to be a background music for a narration, and I ended up fiddling in session view for two hours =p
