Just curious to see, plus it allows me to guess, which may end up being the most stable environment for Ableton 9, due to OS user population and their feedback.

Required disk space for basic installation:

3GB free disk space.

Required disk space if all included sounds are installed:

Live 9 Suite: 55 GB free disk space
Live 9 Standard: 12 GB free disk space
Live 9 Intro: 6 GB free disk space

by default Live is said to be written for Microsoft OSes, and MacOSX version is only a port.
At this moment I think rather of sticking with L8 - according to the infos from Ableton dev team L9 doesn't seem to be worth spending another heap on cash. I start seriously considering waiting for the Bitwig, and saving for some hardware.
Not happy with that though.

Me too! I've never seen a demo video of Live by Ableton that was done on a pc. They all seem to use Mac.

Yeah I saw someone post about this in another thread and am curious as to what the truth is.

Windows 9 128bit

MacBook Pro running OS X 10.8
PC desktop running Win 8

(Mainly because my iMac died on me and I couldn't afford a new one).

AFAIR - I got an interesting discussion via email with Ableton about implementing the spotlight engine to the file browser - it was around 2007-2008 (AL7). I was surprised with this information too. Can't find that mail now - pity.
