Thanks for that link.fragmentated wrote:FWIW there seems to be a problem affecting audio/video in ML on some systems. I did find a 60+ page thread over on the apple forums that seems similar to my problem.

Well in my case, way lower CPU loads/faster loading times.nowtime wrote:Any benefits to ML?
Any plan to update the 2007 machine from Lion to ML? My understanding is that ML is better than Lion, much as Snow Leopard is better than Leopard.Tarekith wrote:Wait, I dorked it, the 2007 only had Lion on it, my 2010 had ML. Sorry.
It's a January 2008 model - one of these: http://www.dooyoo.co.uk/laptops/apple-m ... -ma895b-a/ - have upgraded HD size and speed since then and also gone from 2GB to 4GB RAM... but same processor, mainboard etc...oblique strategies wrote:What year is your MacBook Pro?8O wrote:Upgraded last night from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion, on a couple of years old MacBook Pro (2.2GHz, 4GB RAM).
I have a Early 2008 MacBook Pro that I'm thinking of upgrading to Mountain Lion, & I'm seeking as much info as possible in advance. Thanks
Not any more, I recently sold it to my brother in law.oblique strategies wrote:Any plan to update the 2007 machine from Lion to ML? Recently had to change my mbp because the video card on my 3 years old previous machine suddenly blew off. Bought a new 15 mbp non retina. I have to say I don't like the path Apple seems to go now with their OS : if you're not that much into sharing things on FB or buying apps on itunes or appstore, ML seems crippled with these new functions. On the previous mbp, I had just upgraded for a few months from Leopard to SL and was much happier. Launching an avi with quicktime take ages on ML compared to previous OS. Also had some concerns with some network stuff, and I use Lemur so that's a pain. I can't compare performances between SL and ML because obviously, the new one is a much faster machine !nowtime wrote:Any benefits to ML?
