Bug fix update Live 4.1.2 is online!

Post by Alex » Fri Apr 15, 2005 3:16 pm

Hi folks,

We just released the new bug fix update Live 4.1.2.

Just go to the download section of our website www.ableton.com/downloads
or use the "check for updates" function within your Live version.

Big thanks to all participants of our small beta circle!

Kind Regards,
Alex

===============================================================================
The list of bug fixes and improvements from Live 4.1.1 to Live 4.1.2:
===============================================================================
===============================================================================

==============================================================================

[01] Bug: ReWire shared library

Platform: Mac OS X

Previous version of Live 4.1.x had a corrupt ReWire library.
Live now re-install ReWire library also if it is the correct version
but a different size in order to correct a previously installed
corrupt version

Status: Fixed

==============================================================================

[02] Bug: Prelisten of short warped clips

Platform: All

Live could crash when prelistening short warped
clips with a length < 1/4 beat.

Status: Fixed

==============================================================================

[03] Bug: MIDI Scale device

Platform: All

The matrix of the MIDI scale device was not updated right for Redo actions.

Status: Fixed

==============================================================================

[04] Bug: Creating warp marker

Platform: All

Live would crash when creating a warp marker before the reaming warp maker
after created after a "delete all warp marker" action.

Status: Fixed

==============================================================================

[05] Bug: Quit Live with opened Proteus X VST window

Platform: Windows

Live would crash when quitting while the Proteus X VST window is still opened

Status: Fixed

==============================================================================

[06] Bug: Device chains with Reverb effect

Platform: All

Under certain circumstances some parameters of an effect placed
directly behind the Reverb effect did not work properly.

Status: Fixed

==============================================================================

[07] Bug: Inconsistent number of return tracks

Platform: All

Live would crash when loading a document where some or all tracks have a
different number of return knobs than the number of return tracks in the
document

Status: Fixed

==============================================================================

[08] Bug: MIDI for some VST plug-ins

Platform: All

The MIDI input of some VST plug-ins didn't receive MIDI data at all, even the input was correctly displayed as routing target.

Status: Fixed

==============================================================================

[09] Bug: Drag'n drop for VST plug-ins

Platform: Windows

Drag and drop from the windows file explorer
to the view of VST plug-ins (like Proteus X)
would not work.

Status: Fixed

==============================================================================

[10] Bug: Zooming in very far in the arranger.

Platform: All

Depending on the file size and the contained audio material
Live would crash in some situations when zooming in very far
in the arranger.

Status: Fixed

==============================================================================

[11] Bug: Switch audio input device

Platform: Mac OS X

Live would crash under some certain conditions
if the input device was switch between two different
audio input devices.

Status: Fixed

==============================================================================
==============================================================================
==============================================================================

[12] Improvement: Restored documents

Platform: All

Now a document restored from file history is marked as dirty.
So when quitting the application or opening another document
a message box appears asking for saving the document.

==============================================================================

[13] Improvement: Select track by MIDI/Key remote

Platform: All

When the track/clip view is hidden, selecting a track using MIDI/Key
remote does not longer opens again the track/clip view.

==============================================================================

[14] Improvement: Mono input devices on OS X

Platform: Mac OS X

Made a workaround for audio input devices providing only one mono channel.
Now this mono channel appears as the left channel of a faked stereo input pair
in the "input config" channel configuration.
This will allow to use mono only audio inputs devices like GuitarPlug and others.

Hey, I like the changes already...even being able to size the disc navigation window more precisely! makes things a little more streamlined.

What exactly does not work?
When you use the "Check for updates" function within Live's help menu your webbrowser should open with a link to the new version to download.

regards,
Alex
I am directed to register again even after doing so. For some reason I am not acknowledged.

Ah, I just love it when new software is released right before the weekend. :)

This feature looks rather interesting... I tend to crash live quite a bit (heh), so I'm curious to see how it works.
