I would like to know if there is any UserScript or application that provides a similar functionality to Ableton Push in Launchpad allowing note and chord playing with scales and root notes colouring.
Thanks,
Carlos

Awesome!
Scale Mode - Provide access to 40 Scale Types for any of the 12 Root Notes. Includes a variety of available Scale Types covering Common types as well as Exotic and Ethnic types.
I was thinking about getting a Launchpad but when I saw Push I wondered if some of it's features could be emulated on LP. Since Push will sell around $500, the $99 LP + this LPC-Live have a killer value.
Thanks a lot Goseba.

There're some weeks ago since the last post, but I also had some ideas in my mind to enhance the function of the launchpad.
I thought:"Ok Launchpad. Right now you can show me what I play. But, can you also show me what I can play next!?"
And then I create a live set with some basic principles of chord motions and progressions...
Maybe it's useful... not only for me.

my guess is there will be a remote script to change the launchpad into something similar to push.

There is ready a push emulation for the launchpad made by nativeKontrol. If you own LPC-Live you should get it for free by request.

+1 for LPC Ditto. Although I tend to use LPC Live more often for playing notes, because the inscale mode lays it out with an octave per row. Super intuitive.

Do you frequently switch between the 2? Are you finding the Ditto pretty functional? Someone gave me a launchpad a few weeks ago and I like the launchpad95 script for it, but the LP takes a backseat to using the Quneo. However, if the Ditto and LPC-Live make a great combo that could make the LP and Quneo a great combo.
It'd be cool to have some functional redundancies between the 2 since a lot of mode switching will be going on.
Otherwise Push is overrated imo.

very nice implementation of push functionalities for the launchpad. I had a bit of fun with it the other night:

Yea, the device mode is pretty handy, especially since it has a "precision" mode, which I don't think is even available in the native script.

In all honesty I don't really use Ditto that often. It is a nice novelty and you get Push's step sequencer (which is sweet), but I think LPC Live is set up a lot nicer than Push is. The great thing is if you buy LPC Live you get Ditto for free, so you can choose which one you want to use based on your workflow, or switch back and forth.

Right, that's what I was wondering if Ditto and Live make a good combo, but I was leaning more on ditto being more novelty for me, I think I'd use LPC more often as well.
