What the heck is this randomness? Every once in a while, I hit the tap key besides the bpm numerals. Then the song changes tempo to how fast I am hitting the tap key. So now I cant find out how many bpms the song are. This usually doesnt happen. I cant figure out how I got on this setting, I cant turn it off. Any ideas?

Don't touch the tap tempo button unless you want to change the tempo

Woah just realized this was a serious question.

Yeah, if you leave the track unwarped, changing the set's BPM will not change the speed of the track. So you can hit the tap button to your endless delight to find a rough BPM, etc.

I dont know if its a troll, there is a lot of these types of questions lately from users that seem to be just now starting to use software/posting on internet forums.
It could be that there's a whole new generation of kids or very old people getting interested in making music, and it could be a troll?

No guys, check it out. He's trying to change the set's bpm WITHOUT changing the audio clip's BPM. Ie, regardless of the session's tempo, the clip will play its default speed. This way he can play the clip, tap the tempo out, and figure out its bpm this way.

This is not the work of a troll, just a beginner.

Well, you never post with any consistency. Sometimes you post as newb and sometimes you post as a helpful user, sometimes your a car salesman or software rep or a teenage hacker.
How is anyone suppose to keep up?

Next time you should post as an announcer at a football game and just give commentary on everyone's post.

If you want to perform live and you re scared to press a button, you can tape a cap of a coke bottle on the top of the button. So you can't press it anymore. And you'll look cool with your customized midi controler.
