Look on wiki.

Also, a midi clip can show you a drop down of the program and bank stuff.

If you go into the Envelope section of a midi clip, there is a drop down of automatable midi cc's.

Aside from that, your question is pretty vague, they intentionally made midi pretty open. You'd have to clue us in on how you plan to implement this information.

I intend to map my foot pedals of the FCB 1010 to various parameters in Live. I started from CC1, but it appears that mapping to certain numbers cause crazy shit to happen (the little yellow box in the upper right corner that blinks when you send a midi signal constantly blinks), so I was looking for a list of what CCs i could freely map to.

I found the list in the envelopes section of a midi clip. it appears there is alot of free ones marked (controller), does this mean i can freely map these numbers to whatever i please?

Live is a clean slate for mapping.

A few cc#s are commonly used in synths etc. Mod and Sustain pedal.

Other than that, you really should be able to do whatever you please. I think you can stick with your original plan without much problem.

Make sure that in preferences 'remote' is turned on.
