Hey guys, how does Justice get that glitchy, disjointed sound on the distorted bass? What effects are they using? Its like the bass track just comes in at random times. Have a listen after around 1:30secs. I'd also like to know what that 'tearing' sound in in the background is.

It's just editing. A few different samples and rendering the samples through different fx and chopping them up and reordering them.
