wtf, the mpk49 is 200$ on amazon.us. However it's 400$ here in Japan. Is that 200$ price even realistic? I just cant believe it. And of course they only deliver in the US... grrrrrrr.

I really like it. I say sure, it's worth $200! Although I did downgrade to an MPK25 cuz I don't really need the 49 keys.

Yeah, I'd say $200 is a very good price for it considering what you you get

I got mine for a little under 200 with trade-in of an Axiom49 and 15% off at Guitar Center a couple years ago, definitely has been worth it.

Not perfect by any means (the pads are pretty miserable, and the feel of the keys is definitely not to everybody's tastes), but I've been more than happy with it.

$200 is a steal IMO. The MPK25 is one of my favorite controllers of all time. Not perfect by any means but for the price really well built (physically).

Yea the pads are terrible but there's a mod out there involving layering some tape underneath the pads that apparently makes them quite wonderful. Haven't tried it myself but it sure seems like it'd do the trick, and plenty of people testify to it's effectiveness.

I just checked at guitar center....it's on sale there too. That is a KILLER price!!! Akai must be trying to get rid of them so people will buy that new red joint they have out now. I used to have one, but I sold it, I might have to pick one up. Again

Oh and the pads are horrible!!! But the keys are soooooo nice!
