How to loop MIDI arpeggiator live after recording ?

Hi Forum
I would like to record live a Arpeggiator say 16 measures and then direct Loop it so I can play along side...
How to :
To make the loop is not a problem but i would like it to be with out a pause / immediately ...

Do you try the Hold feature? Or is that not good for what you're doing?

Super, it is a step in the right direction

But hold affects only the last played chord.
I woul like to make a say full played vamp say 1 mn long and then immediately loop this !

I'm tempted to say Loop isn't quite the right tool for this.
I think Ableton is fast enough to let you record a clip and pretty quickly let that clip start playing so you can overdub.
Let's say you have two MIDI tracks feeding into the track that holds the arpeggiator. You record the clip of your chords on one of those MIDI tracks and then drag that to the other MIDI track and fire it up.
Just a notion.
