how i sync two laptops with live

the laptos are i Book G3 800Mhz and live 3.04

just to get sure I understand you right, you use Live 3.0.4 on both iBooks, one as master and the other as slave?
What exactly is the problem you have then?

If you're just running one tempo throughout your set, just set them to play at the same BPM and start them at the same time. Good enough.

when i sync the computers the slave computer sound bad like the pitch movin very fast ,all the tracks are in repitch mode ,simple i wana sync the computers please help me if you now another way please answer me

how exactly do you sync?

- MIDI? (midicables)
- VLAN? (firewirecables)
- OSC-protocol? (networkcables)

If you're just running one tempo throughout your set, just set them to play at the same BPM and start them at the same time. Good enough.

This won't work for more than 2 minutes , even with identical hardware.

we have the same problem and haven't found a solution so long.
is there somebody who tried to sync both computers to a external midiclock?

mr-e, is there the possibility in live to sync with firewirecables?
i thought is was just midi.

Hi

I have seen posts on this forum where people have synched Live on one laptop with VJing software on another one. So I'm sure its been done successfully. Just put a search in for VJ software and ask anyone who appears knowledgable on the posts you see.
