It's not native Live, but I find this clipper to be very gentle:

does it do the same exact thing as G-cliper (for windows), or the T-racks clipper ?

Saturator will do it. But then Limiter is effectively a 'soft clipper' as well, isn't it? Depends what you need it to do.

I clipping and limiting, I personally hear a difference. I prefer clipping at some stage. I usually do it hard clippings. But in. This case I need a soft clipping.

I use Saturator for this almost TOO much. Just load the default and ram audio into it. It is my limiter sometimes, adds a little grit. Or you can bump the level up a tad to spice things up. In the manual is some essential info.
Be aware also that it had a hi quality mode option when right clicked.

Save HQ mode as default and be done with it.
