Looking for one motorized fader controller.

Hi there,

I'm looking for a one fader controller with a motorized fader that will react to live.
I've got an APC40 but I hardly ever use it since I don't compose in the clip editor anymore.
So what I basically want is one fader that automatically slides to the volume of each track when I select it, is this possible?

Thanks in advance.

Never seen a single channel motorized midi fader for sale before, but you could build your own..

Yes, I was aware of the faderport but I am more curious about the feedback Live can give to a motorized fader.
Will Live auto-adjust the fader when clicking on other tracks for example?

This one has Mackie Control so maybe it will respond. I don't know for sure though.

Great, thanks.
Just found my answer in the Faderport manual. Live is completely supported, even plugin automation. I need this thing fast

I have an Alphatrack (and a Mackie MCU). The alphatrack was initially for laptop use but is actually hardly used now and sits on my second bench above my MIDI keyboard for simple control of a track.

You can actually do quite a lot with it and yes it will move the fader to the selected tracks level.

If you select a track in live the fader follows the selected track level. You can also use buttons on the alphatrack to scroll through tracks. the names and data is displayed on the LCD and you can also switch it to control sends/returns/parameters etc.

You can arm track record, solo and a few other things you would expect.

It can be a little fiddly if you want to get into controlling device parameters but it is possible and the fader is touch sensitive meaning you can easily override recorded automation.

It's completely USB powered and works with the MCU control surface template. Nice little controller.

i had an AlphaTrack for a while. i found having only a single channel of control a bit limiting though, and i don't like the clicky buttons much. also, apparently the fader on the Presonus Faderport is a bit snappier as you have the option of using an external power adaptor (the AlphaTrack is bus power only)...

So it will label and color the tracks

But it looks like there aren’t track meters. Kind of weird to get all techie like that and then not include something that would be an obvious wanted feature. :?

Alpha track hasn't been updated in years.
