[FIXED]The folder "Cache" in "" cannot be created.

Hello forum, I'm new here, and kind of new to Ableton Live and Mac.
I'm using a Macbook Air with OS X 10.7.2
When i open Preferences in Ableton Live 8 i get this error msj
Code: Select all
The folder "Cache" in "" cannot be created.
How can i fix this?

I have the exact same problem, it happened when I ran Mac Cleaner.

I have the same issue after using Mac Cleaner. What a nightmare. Someone please help us out...

Solved it.
Type the following into spotlight: ~/Library/Caches
Create a folder called: Ableton
Within that folder create a folder called: Cache
Ableton should now be working just fine

Just like you said, go to Spotlight using command+space bar, find the Caches folder, and dump in a new Ableton folder with a new folder called Cache in it. Magic!

Anyone know why I keep getting this message every time I try to bounce down a track and how to sort it ?
User/library/caches/cleanup at startup/title.aad was not found

Had this happen today so I created a new Save Folder for the Export location & completed a restart of the PC.
This seems to have fixed the issue as I was able to export the MP3 & WAV files successfully and they are playable from the new folder.
I think the Cache is affected on a folder when there may be too many project MP3s & WAVs in it but I have no real clue because I'm not a Tech person.
I hope this works for others.
