Hey guys. Been messing around with Ableton Live and absolutely love it! Been a user for a few months and still debating on whether or not to begin my hobby as a DJ or as a producer first. I know a lot of people start off as DJs then move up to production but I'm still divided. I'm considering taking online DJ classes through Point Blank and if I enjoy it maybe some production ones as well. My question today is pretty basic I believe. What is the easiest way to make continuos mixes on Ableton? I don't mean full on DJ sets or anything just songs ending one after another with no pauses or cuts or anything. Kind of like Deadmau5's 4X4=12 (Continous Mix). I have a bunch of songs on playlists that sound great back to back but I'm having issues with BPM and pitch I guess. Still relatively new so be easy on me!

I'd suggest starting with focus on learning everything you can about warping. Warping well should become second nature. It involves finding the downbeat in music, figuring out sections, and setting an appropriate, useable start point in clip properties. Well warped tracks make life in Live land very easy! Also, be sure to become very aware of the sections of songs. When you mix in a new track, it is ideal for the new elements to hop in or out at points of change in the previous song. Think of it as train station stops. Passengers get on or off. Good luck :)
