I'm a drummer. but also a generative music enthusiast. I've had Live for a coupla months I guess. I treat it like an Audio and Midi lab, where I conduct experiments. Muahaaaa.

I enjoy creating midi structures using Scale, Arpeggio, Note Length, creative routings, etc..., you give it a tonic note and its shake and bake baby....

Using canned drum loops here. For shame.

Sounds cool, I like the switch up in the first 1/3 of the track. Did you chap those samples and create the roll effects on the snare yourself? They sound clean and tight.

If your into electronic drumkit drumming - I've gotten into some interesting areas with Ableton where you can trigger in real time.

I've got a Roland Handsonic that makes a fun controller - velocity and pressure sensitive pads. I've used it to play tonal stuff, melodies, etc but frankly I still find a standard synth keyboard easier, since I already know it.
