Thanks MarksBasementRecords, means a lot! What do you like about the track in particular? What's good, what to improve on? :)

Well I'm pretty new to complextro music but the variation of sounds in the "Hook" is nice- Diggin' the synth chords too.

I'd say the piano is maybe something to improve on- it adds an asian flavour which is good- maybe add some more variation to it when it returns to switch the track up more

Thanks very much :) and yeah I definitely agree, the second part was kind of a rush job to fill in the rest of the song so I just copied the same piano part again :/

Legendary! Where did you learn to master your tracks or do you send them off?

Mine seem to sound how I want in Ableton, then when I export it's either too quiet or the tracks don't seem to blend as well. Don't think I am over compressing but I don't know anything about mastering really.

PS. listening to your other stuff now, quality!

Thanks very much Stevee! Generally I just try to get a clean mix first, and then my mastering doesn't really have to do much, just some light compression, some multiband harmonic excitement (tube distortion) and stereo imaging.. I didn't really ever learn how to master tracks, I just kind of make sure I don't have any overlapping frequencies and that my tracks are nice and clean. I just checked out your mix on soundcloud (thx for the follow btw) and it's pretty awesome! Maybe you're not exporting it out of live in a high enough sample rate or something.. Or have you converted the file after exporting? Either way, still sounds great! Keep it up :)

Well done! The synths sound fantastic. I hope to someday have something I'm proud enough of to post on the internets.
