AKAI MPK mini Arpeggiator sync to Ableton's tempo

Post by Lower Levels » Fri Mar 01, 2013 12:24 am

Hey I am trying to sync my akai mpk mini's arpeggiator to Ableton's tempo in the top left. (I find the hardware tap tempo to be very unpredictable when trying to get very low bpm)

So if I could manually enter a value in Ableton and have the mini create arpeggios at that tempo it would be awesome.

In preferences I have Input: mini: Track on, sync on, remote on
And then output: mini: just sync is on.

Looking forward to any help you can give !

You can change the tempo with the software editor. Leave it open do the change
I don't know if the controller will listen to live, I don't think so.
Is not the better solution but at least will work.
I'll tru on mine if i can get it to work.
I let you now

I know of MPK Mini Mk3. To sync you must keep pressed the ON/OFF Arpeggiator button and turn the [SYNC] knob for the display to show BPM:EXT (External) and in Ableton preference under MIDI have: Track In, Remote IN, and Sync OUT. That's it.
