M4L monome emulator for launchpad that works with Max6

Hello all,

I have been using monomeemu for sometime now (mainly with mlr alphanerd version) and I am perfectly happy with it...in combination with LPC-live it creates a very powerful set of tools.

Now that Ableton 9 is out and we would be able to use the new max feature if we just upgrade to standard live (it seems like that if you are a previous owner of m4l you can use all the new flavours without the need to update to suite), I have realised that monomeemu does not work if you use Max 6 as main editor for M4L.

I also own Max6 but this is another story.

Does anyone know if there another monome emulator that works in m4l with Max 6?
if this does not exist (doing extensive research, no luck), is there anyone willing to help to write a modified version of monomeemu?

Waiting for your responses community...

Cheers,
bassik

Have you asked over at monome.org? I can't see anything obvious in their applications listing, but someone in the community there could be working on one...

Hello artpunk,

in reality I tend not to ask thinks about launchpad there as they have always been quite reluctant to it.

Anyway, as it is something more related to ableton now, I thought the community here might have more interest in this...more than someone who already own a monome...

Reluctant...really? Mmm, that surprises me a bit. As you are were talking about a monome emulator to work with M4L I thought it would be the most logical place to start, sorry. Not everyone in the monome community actually owns a monome. I was using launchpad for quite a while using nonome and was active on the forum there & I know of others who still use their launchpads. There's also users with arduinomes etc... I've always found them to be a really helpful, friendly bunch... and they seem to have a healthy interest in controllers & controller grids of all types!
Anyway good luck!
