Rewire as slave to C6, C7, Studio One 64-bit is not working

Rewire Slave mode for Live 9 64-bit is not working with C6, C7, Studio One 2.5. Live isn't recognised as Rewire Device inside C6, C7, Studio One. If I start C7, C6 or Studio One first and start Live I only got following superb message:
Live recognised a different Rewire Master program, to use Rewire Slaves in Live you have to quit the other program and restart Live (translated from the german Error Message)

The funny thing the people at Cycling'74 made it, here it works without any problems.

Hope that bug is fixed soon in Live 9 64-bit...

I've noticed this as well within Pro Tools 10. Looking inside my .dpm folder, and it seems the Ableton plug has been deleted somehow, maybe when I installed suite 9. It doesn't make sense though, because I still have suite 8 installed. What if I wanted to use 8 as a rewire slave? This definitely needs to be addressed.

Also confirmed not working with Presonus Studio One 2.5 64-bit or Cubase 7.02 64-bit.

Ah, to add to this, I bought the Live 9 upgrade. I was previously running the Live 8.4-beta 64-bit. Can anyone that purchased a FULL Live 9 copy, or Suite (not an upgrade from 8) confirm whether or not Live 9 is working as a ReWire slave?

If using Reason, must also be in 64-bit mode.

fyi: master/slave have to be in the same bit mode, Reason can be installed in 32bit, using the 32bit switch

Same problem. I just started using Ableton as a secondary DAW with Cubase as my primary DAW. Running W7/64pro, Cubase 7.0.2/64 and Live 9.0.1/64. Previously, with C7/64 and Live 8/64, there would be a "Ableton Rewire" indicator in Cubase's Devices menu. Rewire worked fine w/ Live 8. As soon as I installed 9 (I did not uninstall 8 first), the "Ableton Rewire" indicator disappeared in Cubase, so no rewire functionallity at all. Oddly, it wouldn't work in 8 or 9. I uninstalled both 8 and 9, then reinstalled 8. Rewire worked properly again. Reinstalled 9, but did not launch. Opened Cubase and the Ableton Rewire option still appears, and Rewire worked when I launched 8. BUT if I close 8 and then launch 9, I get the "...previous version..." error message and then Rewire becomes unavailable for BOTH 8 and 9. So it appears that Rewire is broken in 9/64 and, if its installed and launched, it breaks the (previously functional) Rewire in 8. Hope this gets fixed soon...

It happens with the 32 bit version too.

This was reported to Ableton during the beta testing but they didn't fix it.

Hopefully they fix this on the next release. This is a critical function for a lot of users
