If you're referring to the Session-based lessons originally released with Max for Live 1.0, my understanding is that they will be made available as Live packs at some future point (as will be the case with the initial "Big Three" devices released as a part of Live 1.0 that remain useful as clear and concise programming examples).

In the meantime, There is a series of interesting and useful tutorials on Programming in Max for Live available on the Cycling '74 Wiki. You may find them useful.

Hi greg

thanks for your reply, I didn't know about these! :-)

I was reading the live 9 manual and it mentioned some max lessons in live which couldn't find at all. I'm completely new to max so this is very helpful thankyou.

so basically the lessons will get added later?

thanks

charlie

The Building Tools pack should be online in a few days.
It's a restructured version of the originals building blocks/API Tools from Live 8.
