Live 9 Compressor crackling with short attack times

This is not about the Glue, but the standard Compressor.

An instance of Ableton 9's Compressor with an attack time of 0.01, in Peak mode, I get audible crackling on the processed transients.

An instance of Ableton 8's Compressor with an attack time of 0.01 in Peak mode, FF1 Model, does not have this crackling. FF2 mode has some subtle crackling but not as much as Ableton 9's Compressor.

All other parameters (threshold, ratio, knee, release time, makeup gain) are identical.

I am noticing this particularly on percussive/attacky synth notes.

Why is this happening? Can anyone else hear this?

Yeah using 8's compressor is crackle free... but I'm just curious to know why 9's compressor crackles.

This is probably a question that can only be answered through a 6 month course in coding for audio processing... :|

How do you load Ableton 8 compressor or which folder do you put it in on mac?

i copied all my presets from live 8 into the live 9 library manually to have better access to my loadz of presets. since i miss the ff1 ff2 toggle which i need for crackle free sidechain operation i dont really bother (yet) with live 9 comp.
just copy your live 8 presets into live 9 user lib.
