I've had a play with this and it looks impressive. It has the note modes and the sexy step sequencer. Is anybody else using this? It's available via NativeKontrol.

I don't have ditto but I tried to emulate Push with Clyphx (push-emulation mode) and Automap.
So far I can play notes like with push but still need to know how I can alter scales.
Can you describe how you do this with ditto? Does ditto also show you the different note colours as push would do?

Cheers

For the sake of clarity, LPC-Ditto is a free preset for LPC-Live users. It’s not available through our site, just by request as covered here.

Basically, the same way it’s done on Push. By entering Scale mode and using either the Track Select/Status buttons or the Encoders, which LPC-Ditto emulates via inc/dec buttons. You need an onscreen display to do this properly. PDE provides that and you can find that here.

Alternatively, you can use ClyphX’s Push Actions to change scale settings.
Does ditto also show you the different note colours as push would do?
Yes.

Can someone please clearly outline the distinction in the functionality of the LPClive template versus the LPCDitto? (Love that name, btw)

Do you lose any of the functionality of the original LPCLive template by installing the Ditto - or does it simply add to it? Or, do you have to alternate between them to access their differing functionalities?

My understanding is that you can only have one preset active at a time.

So you can alternate between the two different LPC templates (LPCLive and Ditto ) and the standard functionality of the the Launchpad?

Can someone please confirm? Thanks!

Option one:
Set up LPCLive in your preferences. This way you will be able to switch between the LPC template and standard launchpad setup.

Option two:
Set up LPCDitto in your preferences. You are stuck in Ditto, and you will be emulating Push. There is no way to toggle back to standard launchpad mode or the LPC template.

Option three:
Get two launchpads. Set one up as LPCLive and one as LPCDitto. BAM!

Oh Really? Oh. Thanks for clearing that up.

Is there somewhere that I can make a clear comparison between the LPCLive And the Ditto functionality? What's the trade off?

Interesting. 8O What are the types of simultaneous functionality could be achieved with this configuration?

From what I remember, LPC has no triplets in the sequencer. Correct me if I am wrong. Ditto should have them if it emulates Push.

That's no biggie!

Surely the differences are more significant that that, though?

There is no comparison chart available at the moment, but you can see what each offers and compare the differences.

For LPC-Live, there are videos and a manual available here. For LPC-Ditto, it can do pretty much everything that Push can do. You can learn more about Push in Live 9’s manual section on Using Push and various YouTube videos.

As a side note, we released a new version of LPC-Ditto (v1.0.3) today that is actually 3 presets, which I’ll summarize here.
  • LPC-DittoA - Pure Push emulation.
  • LPC-DittoB - Push emulation and standard Launchpad functionality.
  • LPC-DittoC - Push emulation and Clip/Learn/MonoSeq Modes from LPC-Live.

Actually it is a biggie for me ;) The rest doesn't matter, as I have other controllers.

Except browsing and selecting devices from the browser, obviously?

Correct me if I am wrong - but clearly the Ditto C has the most functionality, right?

( is the 'Clip Mode' essentially the same as the standard Launchpad mode?)

stray rocks !
the only thing you need from "Launchpad" are the (empty) user modes..
everything else.. Push script does better.
