Sorry, only in German:

Looks like the only real new things are "Battery 4" and a "MiniMoog" emulation/synth. I'm curious what the update prices will be.
EDIT: Oh, and March 25th seems to be the release date.

The surest sign Komplete 9 is on it's way was the sale on Komplete 8 ;)

Preview trailer now up on the NI YouTube channel

Really well done as far as preview vids go, too. Shows off the sounds in an integrated way without any extraneous bullshit

NI is tagetting Ableton users quite heavy lately, announcing stuff so close to Live9 release.

Interesting strategy, looks a bit messy, but it will be interesting to see how it performs. Personally I'd prefer contextual attribute display (only the filterable attributes which match the current result list), and also contextual tag display (IE: only show the tags relevant to the filtered items).
But again, it will be interesting to see how this actually performs. A screenshot is a poor guide.

I'm personally underwhelmed by Monark. Does the world really need another VA synth? "One synth to rule them all" is a hype too far.

I'm sure it'll sound fine but it doesn't "rule" over Absynth, Massive or FM8, infact, it doesn't even come close.

I'll be upgrading but not for a while, at least until there's been a few bugfixes as i'm sure it'll arrive with its own swarm of mosquitos.

Have there been any more details released besides the name and the fact that it's a Moog-ish subtractive VA synth?

You can see a bit more about it here, http://www.native-instruments.com/en/pr ... or/monark/

Personally i'm pretty underwhelmed by it too. But, CPU hungry analogue emulations seem to be the "in thing" at the moment with developers. It certainly won't give Diva a run for it's money...

Looking at the official product page and a few others, it seems like a Minimoog clone.

Unless they work some serious magic behind the scenes to make it sound incredible, I don't expect it to replace DIVA for me any time soon

I just got Komplete 8 in December - anybody know now NI is for offering upgrade rebates/discounts for late-starters with the current version of their stuff?

LOL, great minds.

My guess is this is aimed at people who might have Komplete already but don't have another great analog emulation already. Seems like a decent strategy and a good hole to fill, but certainly not for everybody

The announcement says $149 for K2-8 > K9. That's definitely a good deal if you're on an older release of Komplete. I'm on K8 so I suppose it's a fair price, but not "wow".

Still I'm glad to that all of the recent speculation about B4 was correct. I use B3 a lot and was beginning to wonder if it was going to be discontinued when they didn't provide an AAX plug-in update for it like they did recently for all of the rest of the K8 devices.

Just wait till summer, they almost always run a half off upgrades sale. Timing depends on which upgrades they are doing though. Last spring they did a great upgrade deal for everyone who owned kontakt/reaktor/few others where you got a great deal moving to komplete. Then I believe later in the summer they had a deal for upgrades for previous komplete owners

With NI it definitely pays to wait 6mo
