Still no snap to grid or typing in exact values...are Ableton devs retarded?

I can't see them adding snap to grid until they fix the PDC so that automation actually happens at the point it is drawn!

I've seen many requests for this feature going back 6+ years. Ableton needs to quit letting the bean counters make all the decisions.

I've just bought Live, waiting for the serial now, been previously been working in four other DAWs and I expected this to be a basic feature. I hope there are no more surprises like this!

I'm very happy with the arrival of Automation curves but this feature seems to have brought a time lag with it. When I draw blocks of automation say to the freq cutoff of Analogue, the filter jumps up and down like i'd expect. But if I do the same chunky automation in Live 9, the filter glides from point to point. Is that the way it's going to be from now on?

Another option is to select a range instead of individual points, and then drag up the whole automation line within the range. This will create two points on either end of the range, you can then simply double click one of the two points to remove them.
