copy an edited clip
try to past it in another clip slot same track
cannot do it
must create new track to paste in
please tell me this is a bug!!!!!!

or is this some kind of a genius move like having two live libraries

Don't know what to say. It's working fine here. I can copy & paste clips into the same track in both session and arrange views using key commands, right-click (context) menu, main menu, and drag-and-drop.

im on a late 2011 mbp 10.7.4

Can't replicate it. Least not with midi.

Do you mean an audio clip edited with a wav editor? Sometimes wav editors like audacity store the edited version of the clip in a different folder & Live may have trouble finding it?

Works ok here.

edited with loop brackets
the same for midi clips
i have a clip in a track i change some loop brackets and after i copy the new pasted version goes on top of the copied one unless i paste into a new track

Works fine for me.

I have run into this problem, intermittently... But basically I loose the ability to copy and paste either a midi or audio clip into one track in the set every now and again. Its only normally one track that wont work. To fix it I just save and reload the set and then it seems to work fine...
