Hey
I don't like the way the new simpler reacts when I play it. On ableton 8 the sample would stop playing as soon as I stopped pressing the key. Now it plays the whole thing. Not practical when you are digging for a short vocal snippet out of a full acapella...
Is there any solution?

Yeah, they made it so the default release time is 60 seconds.

Open up a new simpler, change the release to whatever time you want, right click the menu and choose Save Default Preset (I think that's what it says)

That'll take whatever the current settings of the device are, and use those defaults next time you load an instance

What? my default release is 50ms

And just like the old version, load in a long vocal sample but hold the key down for half a second, you only hear half a second

Hmmm... not in my version.
Turn down the release time and save as default setting for simpler.
