**Live 9 Looper Plug-in Bug?**

Not sure where to post this...

I'm trying to use Live 9 to loop a signal from a microphone...

I'm using REC/OVR mode for sound so the mic is muted when not in use, and I have it quantized to 1 bar, recording 4 bars, then +

Everything works properly at first:

1. I have the track playing, and tap a hi-hat to a tempo. (I usually start a playing on bar 2, leaving dead air for 1 bar)
2. The 4 bars are up, I finish MY last bar on bar 1 and the loop begins.
3. I turn the looper to play mode, my mic is muted
4. The last bar of my hi hat dissappears... it's as if only the first pass of looping is sticking...

I've tried the same thing using my old version of live 8 and there's no problem, the loop's multiple layers all stick and continue to play...

Is there at least a way to get the old live 8 looper plug-in working in live 9?

I'll be sending this to live support as well.

Same problem here.
My loopers are very buggy in Live 9.

For exemple : I record a loop on 4 bar. It playback the 4 bars only once, and automaticaly resume it to a 1 bar loop.
Exemple 2 : i record/play a loop, them stop/clear it. My song play again and 2mn after that, I record play a second loop on the same looper. It plays this loop once, and automaticaly replace it by the first loop ( that I've erased... ).

Maybe there's a RAM problem. But I work with a MacBook Pro early 2011, quadCore 2,2g, loaded with 8g DDR3 RAM.

Thanks for your help

If I start from an empty session, it seems to play ok (didn't test it for long but recorded three loops then played then ok, cleared the memory and started again) with the internal soundcard. But yesterday, using my RME FF UC in a mid loaded session I got bad and repeatable bugs : recording four bars but playing just the last two 1/4 notes for example. Going to make some more tests today to be sure this isn't related to the soundcard, or the overdub with multi function button as taht was the case for a while in live 8.

I have experienced a similar issue. The loop always seems to start a couple beats late even when set to the specified length. I tried changing my buffer size, moving the looper around in the chain... It doesn't seem to be a latency issue, because through my monitors I'm getting no noticeable latency. I'm getting a feeling there's just something wrong with the plug-in. 8O

I'm also have had a really buggy experience with Looper in 9. It records a given length and then just plays back a small section of it.
g This is very a poor show on Ableton's part, can't even get the looper to work properly. It's really disappointing, they need to lift their game.

I'm seriously bumming over this. I bought into Live largely because of the strength of Looper. And it essentially blows. Works awhile, but will lock up in playback, repeating one measure only, until I stop all, then it's fine for a little while again. Do these guys read the forum? Do they ever issue patches of these problems?
