Live 9.0.1 Long Buffering on load compared to 8

I have noticed with 9 that there are longer loading times. In particular a relatively simple set of about 8 tracks and 15 clips takes a lot longer than live 8 to load up.
The buffering samples blue progress bar pops up bottom left and progress is damn slow.
The same project opens almost instantly on Live 8.
Am I missing something in Live 9?
Does this have to do with Ableton's New Browser and are the files it is trying to buffer also being indexed into the "Current Project" Folder? Is this what is chugging everything up.
Just thought I would ask and see if anyone else has noticed this as it makes using live 9 a bit poo poo.
SYSTEM SPECS: Toshiba Qosmio F750, Intel i7, 5400rpm internal drive, 8gig ram, WIN 7 64, Live 9.0.1 x64
Live and packs are on partition C: of the drive
Projects and associated samples are on separate partition of same drive.
