Hi guys,
I need to buy a good midi keyboard to combine with the Novation Launchpad.
I want to play/control some synths in combination to launch scenes.
So I need a small keyboard (25 keys) with some knobs (mechanical or lighted, so when I change track the knows will reflect the new values) and some lighted pads (to be used as static buttons).
I see the Novation Nocturn 25 keyboard. What do you think about?
Have you got some other keyboard suggestions?

I've been looking at the Novation launchkey. It's relatively cheap, but that's my main concern. So I'm waiting for a few reviews on it first before I get it.

I see it, but knows are no lighted and the 16 launchpads are a repetition of my pure launchpad... so it is not for me. thanks for the answer!!!

I use the Novation 61Sl MK II it is Novations flag ship midi controller. it's already mapped to Live 8 and 9 and auto maps to thirdparty plugins you click. It has a Fatar keybed with velocity and aftertouch. it comes with a free copy of Live 8 lite.

the novation sl mkII do what I need but is to much expansive. so I think I will go for nocturne 25 because no other keyboard has the lighted encoders. Nocturne 25 has not the ligheted pads however. I will try to search again! thanks again!

korg microkey and korg nanokontrol. bang for buck satiation guaranteed.

Hands down, no doubt the Novation Remote series. The Nocturn25 is a damn crafty tool too. You will NOT be dissapointed

But will the Novation stuff output MIDI on its own or will
you always need Automap running ? I remember the Nocturn
controller to be a PITA to work with...
