Ableton Live 9 Trial Not Responding

Can anyone help me? When i try to open Ableton (and some other programs) the program doesn't open and is not responding. I've had this problem with my computer and i just got my hard drive replaced which was supposed to fix this problem. My hardrive cannot be the issue it is less than 24 hours new.

Please help. Thank you.

seems this is happening for alot of people... lemme guess, mac osx leopard 10.6.8? if not that may mean this is a bigger problem...

Raptorecki a member of the forum gave us a solution on another thread , it's worked for me

(unless for the moment and not waste too much days of trial)

you should downgrade the 9.0.1 version and reinstall it cause it might be a problem of authorization connection with the 9.0.2 version which was updated yesterday (22/3)

Any official word on this? I'm running Mac OS 10.7.5 and my trial stopped responding as well. Before I shell out almost 1k for Live 9, I would like some kind of assurance that the team at Ableton is on top of this and fixing it. I assume it's a trial validation issue, so does that mean this would not be a problem with the full product?

Downgrading to 9.0.1 fixed it for me as well.

My trail has also stopped working after 5 days - i.e. i try to open it, the icon bounces like its opening but then nothing happens! Looks like this has to be fixed!

Having the same problem, still 11 days left.
The links point to 9.0.2.. how to downgrade?

I've re-installed 9.0.1 several times now and I am having no luck getting it to work. Ableton shows up as an active process in Windows task manager when I try to open it, but the actual program never opens.

Count me in as not being able to use Live 9 trial. I was into day 10 of the trial of version 9.0.1 when it quit working around Friday afternoon (22nd). I assumed it was related to the update of 9.0.2 and tried upgrading to 9.0.2. No luck. Tried uninstalling then re-installing 9.0.2. Nothing. I even removed the user preferences folder under c:\User\<usernam>\AppData. When I remove the user preferences Live 9 starts normally with the splash screen, but hangs on the trial authorization process. In task manager I can see Ableton Live 9 Trial.exe running and Ableton Index.exe running. Upon killing the processes and restarting Live 9, I get the same results as rk179. Note: I've tried both 32 and 64 bit versions on Win7.

Had the same problem on Mac OS 10.8.3 and Live 9.0.2. Installing 9.0.1 worked, but I unfortunately only have 1 day left for the trial. :(
