how come .MID midi and search option ????

that in ableton 8 if you would look for .mid files in the browser they would just show up
and that you could open em up and see the different parts of the .mid file
in ableton 9 you can't fold out the .mid files
and if you search by extension files don't show up
as i'm searching for midi files in my map before i just had to type in .mid in the search option and they would all show up
but in ableton 9 doesn't seem 2 work that way ...
??? am I doing something wrong or ?
