just thought it'd be cool to see mine do this, not a huge deal but so it goes.

Looks like some kind of demo mode (
display). Perhaps a secret button combination...?

Mine does this if you plug it to a power socket without plugging the USB cable in. It does look very good in the dark!

thanks got mine is working now.
It helps when you just spent your savings and you don't really know how to use the gear yet.......
