Nope. I use a Mac
What is in the track that you are flattening?
A Vst could be the cause of the issue.
Perhaps upgrade to the latest version of that VST then try.
I have experienced similar issues with VST plugin in Live on Mac.

Yup. I just had a problem where I couldn't render my project to send to a client because Live would crash. I tried flattening each track individually until I found the culprit - two tracks that I had, both routing to one instance of Kontakt. Oddly enough, the third and fourth tracks routing to that same Kontakt flattened just fine. I had to resample the tracks as a workaround. Huge PIMA, and the Abes got an assload of crash reports.
Oh, and this was on a Mac.

I don't know if this is still relevant for anyone, but I was experiencing this too and it was KILLING my workflow.
A workaround:
If you're freezing and flattening in arrange mode, make sure there are NO clips in session mode on the track your freezing. Then freeze. Then flatten. No crash.
Another workaround:
Freeze the track; create a new track; drag (or alt+drag) audio from frozen track onto newly created track. No crash
I was only getting the crash on the flatten, so if this affects you try integrating either of these workarounds into your workflow.
10.7, Live 9.1
hope it helps
