Push - Existing audio tracks don't show clip controls

Hi,
I have a bunch of existing sets that use audio clips in tracks.
I'm unsure which version these clips/tracks were created in, I'll say Live 8 for the sake of comparison.
When I select a clip in one of my Live 8 tracks, or drop a Live 9 sample into a Live 8 track, all I see on the Push LCD is the name of the Clip Selection.
However when I create a new track and drop a Live 8 or Live 9 clip into it, I get the full range of parameters:
Clip Selection name, LoopStart, Position, Length, Loop, WarpMode, Detune, Transpose, Gain
Edit: clips in the Live 9 track show lots of tiny red 'breakpoints', where (even the same) clips in the Live 8 track do not.
My Live 8 tracks seemed to be limited in what they can achieve.
I have tried resaving the set and also deleting all my clip .asd files.
Has anyone else experienced this odd behaviour or have any suggestions (short of recreating all tracks in legacy sets)?
I was using Live 9 suite trial, and am now using Live 9 Standard, both version 9.0.2
Thanks,
Dan
