Audio Stutter when adding new tracks

Has anyone experienced a stutter, pop/crackle in the audio when you load new track? Almost every time i add a track i get this problem. I'm running it on an iMac as well as a macbook. It happens on both. I've messed about with the buffer size with no luck.
Hope someone can shed some light on this.
Thanks in advance
DK

i even got audio stutter when i change between tracks! so, complete useless for live usage!?! when i unplug push all runs fine.
this happens with my internal mac book audio card. i 'll check if this also happens while using an external firewire interface.

This has happened to me but it hasn't been consistent. Really worried me when it happened though. Even during working at home it's a pretty bad thing to have come up. Come on Abes! This baby needs to be tight as drum!

Now I'm getting distortion triggering clips in session view. I have 5 tracks going. WTF When I trigger a scene with only a 4/4 kick after a scene with five clips in it there is crackle when the new scene begins. I recorded it to arrangement and the crackle is not present. Wow. Why even have a session mode?!?! Bugs like this certainly don't lend to my creativity. They completely smash it.
Edit: Triggering new scenes isn't giving me the crackle now. Switched sample rate from 4800 to 4400 back to 4800 and it went away... Grrr....

Is there anyone experiencing this on a new Mac? Both my iMac and MacBookP are nearly 3 yrs old. just wondering why more people aren't complaining...

Thanks guys, ye this is really disappointing, i was hoping to go 'live' with this baby and this is a massive drawback. I'm also using macs that are a few years old (2009 iMac & 2011 macbook) However i doubt that this is the problem as they run fine without push. Don't wanna go blast another grand on a new iMac to find out either.
I received an email from ableton support and they only mentioned buffer size and directed me to a link on how to set up an audio interface

Come on ableton! We know thats not the problem here! Gotta be a fix for this, it's makes the whole thing unusable for live setups and performances.

I'm getting this problem on a 2012 Macbook Pro 2.9ghz 8 gigs RAM running Mountain Lion. Pretty effing disappointed. Sent them a stern complaint, waiting to hear back...
This has to be fixable, I hope they are already working on it. I can't recommend this "instrument" at this time.

I’m still getting this problem on my Push 2. I have the newest 2018 Macbook pro with 16 gigs of RAM.
This is so annoying, especially since it’s a product made by Ableton and designed to be used with Ableton in a Live setting. My novation controllers aren’t giving me these problems. It makes the Push 2 completely useless for live performance.
I’ve emailed Ableton support about this, will keep you posted on their answer.

It's happening because you have "reduced latency when monitoring" active...
