Well folks. Today was my last Trial day. I worked on a busy session yesterday that I wanted to complete today, but Ableton (9.0.1) freezed on startup. Well like the gorgeous 9.0.2 Update behaviour. I closed it with the appearing Win7 message and openend it again. No startup logo.
So I opened the taskmgr and Live appeared there 2 times with about 35MB cycling my cpu. I couldn't kill the app with the taskmgr so I had to reset. I shouldn't have done this...

NOW MY PC IS DEAD!

Its a 4 month, exclusive for mixing, mashine with a i7 and all the premium/deluxe mainboard/ram/power supply stuff you can get for money. I plugged off every usb, plugged of my RME and my UAD. Well also my hdd. Nothing DEAD..
I have never ever played a game or done anything heavy on the pc, beside my projects, so this machine could be that stressed.
Don't get me wrong. I know how silly it sounds but what was the murphys law like -.-

No offense, but this is a little dramatic. Live's software update does not have the capability to completely destroy your machine as you describe.

When you press the power button, what happens? If absolutely nothing at all, then you likely need to acquire a new power supply.

If fans turn on and it starts humming, but you don't see a display, you need to investigate that area...

Perhaps you had a RAM flaw that was exposed while Live was doing it's stuff.

If it turns on, but windows fails to start, you should look into restoring from Windows restore.

Saying that it's completely dead says to me that you aren't familiar enough with computer hardware to make such a diagnosis.

I'm not arguing that perhaps you are indeed having pretty severe computer issues, but I think your computer is probably in better shape than "completely dead" -- you should ask a nerd friend to check it out.

erm, did you try shutting down your machine, or did you just go for it and hit the hardware reset button while it was running?

Have you had any severe electrical storms in your area of late ?

You guys are brutal. But in fact, I worse luck than anyone and my live 9 more or less works since I started the beta

As soon as I updated to 9.0.2 my dog died!!!!! Upon witnessing this I immediately killed myself!!!

Ableton owes me an extra life. The fuck?
