I can hear audio except for what has been recorded in

Post by redcarlsen » Sat Apr 06, 2013 1:09 am

I searched far and wide and haven't seen anybody post this issue or a fix.
I'm trying Ableton 9.0.1 I believe.
I have a behringer uca-202 soundcard.
I can hear when I play vst's. I can hear loops I've dropped into audio tracks. However, when I record from an external source, I can see the sound waves and everything looks normal. But when I try to listen to what was recorded, there is no audio.
The audio out is set to master, and I have tried with "monitor" in all positions.
I can see the play head passing over the waveforms of the recorded audio, but the mixer levels of the track do not even light up and bounce.
Again, I can hear all other audio just fine, just not audio which was recorded in.

Hi redcarlsen,

We're only tracking issues with the latest beta versions in this forum. If you have problems with a non-beta version, or general usability questions, please contact our Technical Support Team: https://www.ableton.com/help/contact-support/
Thanks!

Just a rough guess from what you are describing: you might be recording audio into the Arrangement View, but are playing back something in Session View, which would override clips in the Arrangement. You probably need to click the global "Back to Arrangement" button.

Best,
