I am trying to create a situation where the same sample is triggered many times rapidly but I would like the sample to play through fully each time it is triggered. I am running into an issue however where although the Sampler instrument is polyphonic, every time it receives a trigger for the same note it simply restarts the sample rather than triggering a new instance of the same sample at the same pitch on a different voice.

How can I setup Sampler (or any other sampler instrument if you think there is one better suited) to trigger a sample on a different voice if the other voices are still in the middle of playing through the sample?

yeah i meant drumrack, loaded with the same sound on several cells, and trigger it with different notes.

I actually found another way to do it with a single cell of drumrack, load the sample in, turn up the polyphony to 32, turn off retrigger and it will trigger new instances of that sample from hitting a single note up to 32 voices, if you wanted to use more voice than that then you could spread out over multiple cells.
