recording unlinked clip envelopes of different length?

Hi, I really like the feature "unlinked" in the clip envelope section. I like to choose a different length for the envelope, for example 1 bar clip and 1.1 bar envelope. But the problem is when I want to record this, the envelopes get restricted to the clip length, so only for example the first bar is recorded and then choped and start again. Is possible to record this as midi? or I need to route the track and record the audio output?
